CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) is an international agreement between governments. Its purpose is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten the survival of species.
The Gallorose Park has been cooperating with the CITES nucleus of the Tuscany Region for years. We host and care for seized specimens from illegal and distressed situations, guaranteeing high standards of well-being for the continuation of their lives.
Visiting the park you can meet them and get to know them in environments built to guarantee them a habitat suited to their needs, as well as assistance from our daily staff
