THE GALLOROSE PARK FARM
Gallorose Park is a private farm that aims to keep alive the ancient traditions of the Tuscan farm, with its (increasingly rare) native domestic breeds, tools and precious memories.
It is a glimpse into the rural life of our lands, a small dip into a past to be maintained.
Visiting it, one is reminded of how the farms were a “a small town,” where one could find the tobacco shop, the shoemaker, the chapel, the cup-maker, the granary, the carpenter, the cellar…
WHO CAN WE MEET ON THE FARM?
Numerous domestic and semi-domesticated animals can be observed on the farm:
cattle, equids, sheep, farmyard animals, ornamental birds, as well as ostriches, foxes and domestic camels.
In particular, our farm boasts numerous breeds of local origin that are being lost, such as the Pontremolese and Pisan cow, the Garfagnana and Pomarancina sheep, the Monterufoli horse and the Amiantine donkey.
